Metzitzah with a tube - unsafe?

Over the last few months I've had a good number of phone calls from people looking for a mohel who "does not perform metzitzah." 

I have a whole page dedicated to Metzitzah, as it has been a controversial issue due to a few bad stories that have come out of New York in recent decades. Some argue that the stories were exaggerated and made far worse by the news outlets (they used shoddy evidence and jumped to conclusions without a real investigation), while some argued that the stories were absolutely 100% true.

While I can’t override your hesitations, I can assure you that a method that is completely sterile, totally harmless, and may even be beneficial as it draws out blood in a manner that simply putting gauze might not be able to achieve is absolutely safe, and cannot cause infection, one of the main concerns associated with Metzitzah. 

It is the method I used on my own sons (and all nephews and grandnephews in my own family) as well as on the well-into 4-digits (well over 1000) brisses I've presided over, without infection.
